When we see something as a problem to figure out, maybe it would be worthwhile
to bring to mind that God already has the problem solved as in His original plan
for us.
Rom 8:29 ...For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become
conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many
brethren;...
I don't suppose it may occur to many of us that when we are faced with a
problem, God allows us to be in this situation in order to bless us!
A few points then to ponder: He has given each of us a brain to try to solve the
problem. He has given us something with which we can turn to Him for help with.
He has allotted us a portion of His infinite time to learn and grow through the
working out of the problem.
And should we solve it, know that it was through His patience, love and
encouragement that we now have a new level of understanding that would not be
ours had the problem not been given us in the first place!
When we hold an original plan for something, whether it be on a large scale like
a drawing for a house or on a small scale like how to draw a stick-figure in
action, we hold a certain degree of knowledge. Now knowledge can be a tricky
thing depending on how we use it.
With it, we can either be as Prov 10:14
...Wise men store up knowledge...
or we can be as 1 Cor 8:1 ...Knowledge makes arrogant....
Basically knowledge is power and the histories of humans and what they do when
power is given them in any form are well recorded in many books. Perhaps this is
why God choose to impart His message through simplicity as in 1 Cor 1:21
...For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not come to
know God, God was well-pleased through the foolishness of the message preached
to save those who believe....
The problem to many is, they cannot see or understand power in simplicity! What
they fail to comprehend or simply accept is that it is God's infinite power not
just simply a power that man can conform under his control.
Job 42:1
...Then Job answered the LORD and said, I know that You can do all things, and
that no purpose of Yours can be thwarted...
God who is all powerful Gen 1:1 ...In the beginning God created the
heavens and the earth... and holds the plan of eternity in His hands 2 Tim
1:9 ...who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to
our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was granted us in
Christ Jesus from all eternity... will one day in His time, bring us through
this life to spend eternity with Him.
This life can be a blessing to all those who want to know Him. However, each
with their own problem must look to God individually. Being human, we see a big
problem but God sees the big picture as He holds the original plans! So now that
we know that even with our problems whether great or small, whether our fault or
not, we have been given an avenue of escape, 1 Cor 10:13 ...No temptation has
overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not
allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will
provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it...
Perhaps we will be more inclined to go to Him in prayer even for the littlest or
seemingly insignificant thing. Would that we would constantly pray as the
apostles did in Luke 17:5 ...The apostles said to the Lord, Increase our
faith!...
So if God has the plans and is in control - what's our problem?
